If you're speaking about trolling, i do not agree with you. The trolling doesn't help and isn't pedagogical at all. It's just the consequence of the laziness of people who gave up explaining or argumenting. Not to mention the fact that trolling may also be a silly response to a judicious post, not only for what went against forum etiquette...
If you're speaking about editing, it can be ambiguous since it can be used just to correct grammar, or completely change the meaning of the first post.
