If it would be added as a variant, I have a suggestion probably to make it more friendly to users. At the beginning there are not regular pieces, but just outlines of them. White make the first move - outline fades, black made their first move and outlines totally disappear, so that humans realize that their pieces just became invisible and it's not a bug.
and hopefully in the near future they gonna add blindfold tournament to.
does someone want to play blindfold - unrated? i'd like to practice my visualisation and memory. let's see if we can make it to the endgame : )
