@piscatorox there is also a NM title awarded by fide in their online arena for staying above 2200+ rating for a set number of games (50 rapid, 100 blitz, 150 bullet).
The CM title is awarded at 2000+ with the same play requirements.
If I understand it corectly NM stands for "national master", not "US national master". So every nation has its own NM title and its own criteria. On international level you have CM, FM, IM, GM. If you see NM in front of the name, it can be from any national federation, not just US. Right?
