En Croissant: The Ultimate Chess Toolkit

It can be difficult to find out how to do this kind of things with the way the UI and menus currently are. I was looking around the top and left menus for options, and finding out what can be done and how is tricky.

I haven't found an option for mass analysis either.

Running mass analysis on a collection of games, getting some stats overview of the results, and generating custom puzzles based on your own games would be awesome.

Lucas Chess can do it but it doesn't work so great, whereas with the sleek engine integration and UI of this software, it could work really well.
Looks good already. Well done!
Do you plan to be a direct chessbase competitor and and provide tools to help people manage their opening repertoire? One thing I'd like is to be able to have the engine, database and annotating tools open at the same time. Also currently if I have the engine running and I am on the database tab and I make a move on the board the engine stops.
Heyy...uhh I liked your software, and I installed it, but apparently my microsoft defender says that it
"Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk."
And ofcourse, there is no way to download it since there isn't an option for actually downloading it, unless and until I disable smartscreen.
But I just want to be sure if it is 100% safe and the download didnt have any trojan or something.
I used virustotal, and in it:
Google detected something.
Ikarus detected a Trojan-PSW.agent.
Anybody?

Hit "more info", and then "run anyway".

Nope, I ran it on McAfee and it does not have any viruses.

Thanks for that

Dunno, but VirusTotal shows that.
I just wanna know,
Is it completely safe?

Sorry for being stupid.

Can you give more details? Is everything visible except the chessboard?

What kind of topics would you like to be covered?

I already told you the workaround while I fix the bug before the next patch release.

Yes, there's already some features regarding opening repertoires (see here: encroissant.org/docs/guides/manage-repertoire). I'm open to suggestions for improvements on that side, since it's also one of my main use-cases.

Unfortunately you need to be on the analysis panel for new moves to be analyzed, but I'll try to fix that.
@FrankWillow

Everything from how to install to how to set it up to how to set up engines.

I was on r/chess and was talking to someone older about this. Seems like they need some video help.
Many congrats for this programe. The first chess GUI ever done by a Portuguese person, as far as I know. I am interested in it because Scid vs PC can't rate the level of play in chess games and that is presently its major shortcoming. Probably I can use En Croissant for a fast assessment of quality of play of some of my personal games in my Scid vs. PC database. By the way, I am the guy who does the Scid vs. PC interface translation to Portuguese (European version). After using En Croissant for some time I will report here about the experience. Best regards.
