That sounds like a great way to improve @GoMentalGoBloody. I usually try to avoid them o:). Unless the games are really fun and interesting to play.

@Krolp there is no "refutation" but it weakens your king and drops a pawn. That is my pov anyway. I think its jank but good for blitz or fun chess.

I see. Perhaps I'm simply unsuited to handling the tactical complications that come in with the opportunity afforded by a deflected e-pawn.

Maybe or the opening is just not your style. The KG is opposite to my style of play completely so I can only use it to beat 900s. Not someone my rating. Style of play has a lot to do with it.
