Dutch GM with a peak rating of 2513. I am an active chess player with a daily job in education as a teacher of Dutch language and literature at a secundary school in the Netherlands, so I have a lot of experience and knowledge in teaching.

I have a lot of experience in teaching, mainly with players of 1700-2300 Elo. I am structured and well-prepared. My students get homework for each session and each session consists of a theme concerning calculation, game analysis, middlegame structures and endgames.

As a teacher in real life, I am experienced in teaching and I know very well how to give structured lessons and monitor student's attitude and performance.

I teach via a combination of Skype/Google Meet and lichess. As one can not expect to get great results by lessons alone, homework and a training plan will be given to you. By doing the work over a longer period of time, improvement is guaranteed.
