We have it now!
It cuts your initial time in half AND cancels your increment.
So for instance if you berserk a 4+2 game, you'll be playing 2+0.
It's tough, but berserking is crazy anyway, nobody should be doing it!
Enjoy!

That's off-topic. And I can't anyway with this Internet connection.
Back to topic: obviously games with zero initial time (like 0+1 or 0+2) cannot be berserked.
Because the clock would then be 0+0. Even hiimgosu can't win that. I think.
He would probably try for that extra point. Thank you, good sir Thibault.
This sounds like we can have hourly super blitz tournaments that aren't all 3+0. Maybe every other hour they could become 3+2 and 5+2
Instead of cancelling the increment, what about cutting the increment in half too (i.e. 3+2 becomes 1,5+1)?
Anyhow... awesome news nonetheless! :-)
This seems strange for me. Why not 2+1 as a berserk version of 4+2?
To berserk is not about making compromises.
The berserker is fierce, brutal, fearless, and bloodthirsty; he needs no increment.
I hope this leads to more increment tournaments!
By the way, the Arena Berserk section of the Arena Tournament FAQ (
http://en.lichess.org/tournament/help?system=arena) may need updating to inform those who don't check the forums.
#1 Holy moly that sounds difficult! So if I'm playing 1+2 I probably shouldn't go berserk, eh? :-)
