As a player and a viewer of some of the titled youtubers, I would enjoy playing and seeing high-level games of this excellent but painfully overlooked variant. Perhaps a glowing trophy with a dice spinning would entice some strong players to compete.
Perhaps a 2 0 time control might be appropriate, or making it a triathlon (1 0, 2 0, 3 0) to make it a bit harder to achieve, and these shorter time control might attract more players.
And to those who haven't tried 960, give it a shot! I was surprised how novel and enjoyable it is.
