Can anyone help me find where to download "Chess the Easy Way" by Reuben Fine? I signed up on http://immortalchess.net/, as supposedly that's the only place on the net to get it, but I still can't access their forum.
I'm 1420, have played on/off for a few years. Read "An Amateur's Mind", which I thought improved my understanding of the game. I've done some training on chesstempo--1200 rating tactics. (Problems Done: 235 (Correct: 162 Failed: 73)
Percentage correct: 68.94%)
I thought I'd continue studying with Silman's "Reassess your Chess", but what are your thoughts. I was reading on chess.com, and was persuaded by some master to ignore Silman's books and instead read the following in order (at my level):
Chess the Easy Way, by Reuben Fine
Judgment and Planning in Chess, by Euwe (as mentioned by xAsnl)
Simple Chess, by Michael Stean
The Middle Game in Chess, by Reuben Fine
