Thematic tournaments

I was wondering how does the system works for the thematic tournaments? I would like to practice my openings and play in some thematic tournaments. Currently interested in Ruy Lopez, Queens Gambit, Sicilian Defence. I was looking few times and saw thematic tournament about dutch defence and i think that was it. Is there any way of figuring out when will be the next thematic tournament of my openings?

And also if i create a tournement of my own - will the people participate? What parameters do i have to follow to increase the chance to get a good practice tournament?

Unfortunately, thematics tournaments created by users are not usually joined in.
Thematics tournaments was my idea (just the idea here in the forum, not the coding hard job) here in the forum. But I am afraid that they get "lost" or unseen between so much variant tournaments.

People who code here love chess variants, but I think most of chess players would prefer if we could just filter them. Perhaps then thematics tournaments would be more "attractive to sight".

If you want to increase your options of people joining in your tournament, you could advertise it in the chat of an standard tournament that it is nearly to finish.
