Malevolent's on the back foot folks! Kick him whilst he's down!
nikinc - punch his goolies! :D
Sry, chunkymonkey, I'm 11 and I'm Portuguese. So wht do u mean with that?
testículo
That was google translated mind - I hope I didn't say 'grandmother' in my previous post :(
No, u didn't... ;-)
But wht I didn't understand was the all sentence...

:-D
The sentence is full of idioms :D I think you'd have equivalent sayings in Portuguese.
"Back foot" means 'in a disadvantaged situation. I thought it specifically referred to the boxing stance where you're in a bad posture to receive a punch. BUT - a quick look on the internet suggests it refers to a cricket stance.
"Kick him while he's down" is I suppose a lot more obvious - If you've bested or beat your opponent, it is not gentlemanly to take advantage of the situation - the battle has been won and there is no need to pursue the fight any further.
So it would read -
Malevolent was not expecting the (joking) criticism but lets take advantage whilst he's recovering and hit him with some more criticism because it's funny :D
